Cowboys Bunk House

The "Bunk House" is about a mile above Roan Mountain State Park and has been completely renovated. It consists of two units that are decorated in a western rustic style that children will love and we like to call "Cowboys" and "Indians".

In "Cowboys", there are 2 bedrooms, one with a full twig canopy bed and the other with (no fooling) an authentic looking Covered Wagon Bed with room for a couple of young cowpokes.

"Cowboys" has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, washer/dryer, and a full bath with shower. On the front porch, you can sit in rockers and enjoy rushing Cove Creek across the road...and out
the back door, your own bubbling waterfall on what we call Meares Creek and an adjoining secluded picnic area.

Of course, there is a full compliment of pots and pans, plenty of towels and sheets, cable TV with VCR - lots of western movies and Louie Lamour western novels.

We decorated "Cowboys" with our grand children in mind... the children in your life will love it too!
